Online Analytical Principles of Pharmaceutical Science Certificate

Lehigh University's Analytical Principles of Pharmaceutical Science Certificate online program was developed for employees working with drug characterization and purity concerns in pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device manufacturing industries.

This completely online certificate covers both the analytical and physical chemistry needed to understand purity and composition issues in pharmaceutical substances. All of the courses in this program cover the principles behind the common analytical methods, and how these methods are applied in pharmaceutical and biotechnical settings.

Four courses are required to complete this certificate, and students can take any four of the following for certificate completion (courses may be taken in any order): *Elements of Biochemistry I; Elements of Biochemistry II; *Analytical Chemistry; *Clinical Chemistry; Contemporary Topics in Analytical Chemistry; Special Topics in Analytical Chemistry; Spectral Analysis; or Advanced Topics in Chemistry.

All applicants must possess a BS or BA in chemistry or biochemistry; or a minimum of 2 semesters of general chemistry with associated labs, 2 semesters of organic chemistry with associated labs, and at least two upper level chemistry courses.
